I just wanna WIN

I follow a TON of photographers, business people, crafty people, and the like on Facebook. But, one in particular has caught my eye and became my photog/business IDOL. She is giving away an all expense paid two day mentoring session with her! I think I would DIE if I won. So, in the off chance of possibly winning, I am posting it here...because I want to win. Its not likely, but eh, why not try? Here is the link to her blog =]
I hope I win!!

The ups and downs

It may seem all fun and peachy as a photographer (of which I am basically turning into a wedding photographer). Wedding photography is the most difficult. You wouldn't think so from looking at the photos, but there is a lot of work behind each and every photo I send to the couple. When finishing a photo, if the thought "Eh, that should be good enough" pops into my head, I start over. "Good enough" is NOT "good enough." I  am a perfectionist when it comes to the finished product. Can you tell I'm a little stressed today? Obviously I'm editing a wedding. haha.  So, just for some funsies (and a good laugh), here are some photos to laugh at. I think I might make the photo of Ryan Gosling my desktop picture...hahaha Enjoy!

Post number 1,284,482,384,394,394 today.

I like to blog...can you tell? Haha.
These are my beautiful Great-Grandparents. Here's a quick love story. You ready? Ok. My Great-Grandparents met while they were serving in the Air Force. They met and were married about three weeks later. Told you it was a quick love story =] My Great-Grandmother has carried these two photos in her purse since they were printed out. I had the pleasure of restoring them. Enjoy!

A Marine and his *soon-to-be* Wife

This is Ashley & Ryan. Say hello! They will be getting married in just a few short months! Ryan is a Marine stationed in Washington. He was home for a few weeks, so Ashley set up their engagement shoot with me in April. It was a really cloudy (and cold!!) overcast day in downtown Minneapolis, but they stuck it out (even with a broken foot! Ouch, Ashley!) They are another one of my couples that are disgustingly in love. *sigh* all I can think is *swoon* every time I see these pictures. Enjoy!

A Beautiful Up-Nort Wedding

Yes. I did write that correctly. Up-Nort. Deal with it people. I’m a Minnesconsinite. Which for those of you who don’t know, I am a Wisconsin girl that is basically a Minnesotan at the same time. Further explanation later.
I had the privilege of shooting my friend Brittany’s beautiful wedding on May 6th! My really good friend (that I consider a sister!) shadowed me! Check her out at Jessica Anne Photography (she is just getting started, so show her some love!) Brittany and her new hubster, Nate, are ridiculously cute. And disgustingly in love. I say disgustingly in love as a GOOD thing. Seriously. You could see how much he adores her, and she adores him! I can’t post any photos of them until further notice due to privacy, but here are a few details from the wedding that wont give anything away. I am DYING to show everyone their cuteness, but until then, enjoy!

Oh, hey!

I have finally got around to making a photography blog. A legit photography blog, at least. Ha. Here you will find my ramblings on life, sneak-peaks from photo shoots, and other randomness that is Heather Richey Photography. I do hope you enjoy this blog as much as I do!
